It was a real joy to work alongside the lovely Emma and Ewan, helping them to create a beautiful fun and sunny theme for their wedding day at the fabulous Swancar Farm. The wedding theme was a brilliant play on their names, ‘Miss Small marrying Mr Carr’, which led to the perfect naming of each guest table…each would be named with the make of a small car. Emma’s vision for sunny, bright and colourful spring flowers, complimented her maids racing green dresses beautifully. Of course we just had to include a small amount of blue thistle to reflect Ewan’s Scottish heritage, it worked really well with the deep red ranuncula in the buttonholes.
We were lucky enough to use a few English grown flowers, scented narcissi and scilla sent direct form Cornwall, courtesy of Cornish Blooms. (Thank you Beth)
Silver votives of bright blooms adorned the ceremony table, which were upcycled after the formalities, to form a stunning linear arrangement along the length of the top table.
Tall table centrepieces and two large floor standing candelabra full of brightly coloured blooms looked fabulous in the Oak Hall.
Each guest setting was dressed with a single tulip,
The new Mr and Mrs Carr together in the evening sunshine and united on top of the cake!
Thank you Tom Jacques for the allowing me to use your lovely images of Emma and Ewan’s Special Day.
