This had to be one of the most sweetly scented bouquets of my 2015 wedding season. I first met Lesley at Newstead Abbey Wedding fair, where she was admiring a bouquet I had made with gorgeous scented Peonies. She told me it had the most beautiful scent and her dream was to hold a bouquet that had a really delicious perfume.
A while later, when she was starting on her journey into planning her wedding, she contacted me to discuss her flowers.
We looked at and discussed quite a few flower combinations in Lesley’s dream colour palette of soft lilac and Ivory. All of which would give the heady scent of summer, and a taste of the English countryside. We eventually (after a lot of deliberation) decided upon large, blousy, garden roses, peonies, mint, tuberose and soft grey senecio…an absolutely delicious combination.
I think you’ll agree that the ‘antiqued’ lilac roses complemented the bridesmaids dress beautifully. Lesley’s daughter’s looked simply stunning, Lauren as beautiful maid of honour and Pheobe just adorable as flower girl. Son, Aaron proudly ‘gave’ mum away at Mansfield Registry office.
Congratulations! Mr and Mrs BirkinAfter the wedding ceremony it was off to Hardwick Lakes for an amazing photoshoot. The guests were in for a treat, as a surprise for Lesley, Mick had arranged for a fabulous vintage bus from Johnson Brothers, to transport them all to Twin Oaks Hotel for the celebrations.

The good news is that you can now find some amazing wedding jewellery on her new website where she has teamed up with her daughter Sarah to bring you some fabulous creations for your special day.
