Rebecca and Rob

Today I get the pleasure of sharing Rebecca and Rob’s gorgeous wedding from last September.

I love a church wedding, especially when I’m asked to create a beautiful floral arch! This stunner was used to dress the entrance of the pretty village church in Epperstone. After the wedding ceremony we transferred the garland to Hazel Gap Barn where it took pride of place on the mantelpiece in this stunning venue.

Rebecca’s maids were going to be wearing dresses in a rich Raspberry shade, with this in mind we decided on a pretty colour palette of Peach, Raspberry and the softest Lilac to compliment….

As you can see the dresses changed!!

We kept the flowers the same,  and I’m sure you will all agree that the girls’ looked amazing in their gold sequins with the colourful blooms.

The simplest of cottage garden blooms in gorgeous summer hues, clear glass bottles and jars and log slices were all that were needed to make the fabulous space at Hazel Gap look stunning!

We added a few Freesia into all of the florals including the buttonholes for Rob and his men. They were an extra special request from Rebecca, in memory of a very special lady who’s favourite flower was the gorgeous scented Freesia.

Thank you Rebecca and Rob for allowing me to share your Beautiful Day, and Huge Thanks to your talented photographer for the stunning images.

Emma and Craig

The most fantastic vintage inspired wedding of Emma and Craig from last summer.

With only a short period of time before her wedding day, Emma contacted me with a request for two large suspended floral arrangements to be hung in the most amazing barn conversion where she was to marry Craig.

The venue was to be the stunnning Hazel Gap Barn, a relatively new wedding venue on the outskirts of Sherwood Forest.

As you can see from these fabulous images, by the extremely talented  Becky Ryan Photography, Emma and Craig had an amazing vintage inspired day.

Emma was a real pleasure to work with, and although we didn’t get to meet each other until the day before the wedding, (everything was discussed over the phone and via email) she felt confident enough to allow me a free hand in creating her dream.

In her own words she ”was unsure of what exactly she wanted, other than lots of foliage and a few flowers and could you just create something natural and rustic?’

Floral designers, just love to hear those words, and so with a budget set, I was able to create two of the largest suspended arrangements that I have made to date.

They did look amazing and added a real WOW to the barn.

Here are a fabulous couple ‘oozing’  style. I think you’ll agree that Emma really rocks the vintage look and looks stunning…and….Craig sure wears a kilt well!

What a day, filled with so much fun, vintage cars, smoke bombs, sparklers and a cailidh,
