Its a real eclectic mix of weddings this year. Here is just a taste of what is to come…I am really looking forward to this great mix of styles and themes.
A large ‘traditional’ wedding at Newstead Abbey ‘kicks’ off the season. The bride will be carrying a shower bouquet of white roses, the bridesmaids, small hand tied posies of roses and freesia in shades of lilac and pink and three little flower girls will hold ‘wands’ decorated with ribbon and flowers.
A ‘fun’ and ‘funky’ civil partnership in May. Where we will be using vibrant coloured Gerberas, with oranges and limes….yes….I do mean the fruit!!
June and August has more of a country garden ‘tea party’ feel. A converted barn in Derbyshire will be transformed with vintage pots and clouds of gypsophilla and in the grounds of an old vicarage, a marquee will be dressed with floral bunting and where cottage garden flowers are the order of the day. Vintage glassware and crockery are to be used as ‘vases’ grouped together on the tables.
Late December, sees the use of deep red roses and crystals, glassware and candles to create a warm and cosy atmosphere for an intimate wedding before Christmas!
