Elaine and Chris

It was a real honour to create flowers for Elaine and Chris’s wedding back in September.
I have known Elaine from being a little girl, when she used to visit her ‘Grancy’ next door to my mum’s house.
‘Grancy’ was known to me as ‘Auntie Peggy’ I have lots of lovely, lovely memories of a very special lady.
Sadly ‘Auntie Peggy’ passed away earlier this year, so didn’t get to see her lovely granddaughter on her special day.
But, Elaine was able to  bring ‘Grancy’ to the wedding……………… ‘Grancy’s’ wedding ring was resized in time for Chris to place it onto his new wife’s finger during the ceremony at The Hall in West Bridgford.
Lilac and purple with a hint at Chris’s Scottish Heritage was the brief. The blue thistle added some lovely texture to both Elaine’s bouquet and the Gent’s buttonholes.
After the ceremony, we were all treated to a ‘Buck’s Fizz’ reception on route to the The Beeches Hotel.
It was great fun to travel in ‘old fashioned’ style, on board a big, red London bus supplied by ‘Exclusive Cars’
For the table centrepieces and in memory of ‘Grancy’, Elaine recycled some of her vases to display  beautiful, scented posies  in lovely soft shades of lilac and purple. The finishing touch just had to be small tartan bows.
I’m sure all of Elaine and Chris’s family and freinds would like to join me in thanking them for a fabulous, happy, fun filled day!
